Know Your Worth, Overcoming
the Dragon Of Low Self-Esteem is a book about freedom.
It is my personal testimony of how after 46 years of being a conformist, I discovered “me” and what makes
“me” happy. For so many years, I battled through an “identity crisis” manufactured
to please others, who sometimes were not worthy of my time! The “me” I discovered was wrapped in layers of "insecurities"
piled on by failed relationships, rejections by family and friends, depression, anxiety, and unfulfilled dreams that invoked
massive and destructive feelings of low self-esteem.
This book is FOR LADIES ONLY! I
targeted the ladies because I believe that we have the greatest issue with low self-esteem. You see, men
are competitors and are risk-takers. When things don’t work out for them, they simply brush off the dust and call a
new play (football). But women, when things don’t work out for us, we become emotional and begin
to question our intellect and doubt our intuition (which is usually right)! Our solutions are to either
curl up with a pint of Haagen-Dazs™ and/or a box of chocolates, or we call our “girls”, who are
currently or have previously experienced some emotional trauma (some which are still carrying the baggage), who somehow have
become the “experts”. These “sistahs” bombard you with the “What You
Should Do’s”, “What I Wouldn’t Do’s”, and “What You Don’t
Have to Take’s”. Whatever the case, our self-esteem drops to an all time low and we carry
the weight of the world on our shoulders. This straight shooting “girl talk” memoir encourages
you to rid yourself of toxic characteristics (the weight), “going-no-where” people (the load), and insignificant
issues that tear down the fiber of your life (the baggage).
My purpose and goals in the chapters italicized are to:
Change Your Eating Habit – I Only Eat Filet Mignon!
Change Your Direction – Heeding The Warning Signs!
Change Your Perception – Are You A Gold Digger?
Change Your Mind – Maximizing Millionaire Mentality!
Alright girlfriends, run a bubble bath, light a candle, and prepare yourself for a journey!
Let the real you emerge! Discover that you are worth more than millions!
“A woman that knows her worth is centered, disciplined, and personifies
an “air” of confidence that won’t allow the pessimists to rob her of her self worth nor will it lower her
self-esteem Vickie L. Evans
