If
you missed this running of "A Change Is Gonna Come", you missed what my friend, Brenda, whose been with me before
its inception deemed, "The Best One Ever". Many factors contributed to this affirmation - "a stellar
cast" with a heart for the mission; a dedicated and hardworking production staff - Yolanda Walton and company; an attentive
and responsive audience, comprised of domestic violence victims and survivors - who also shared testimonies with
me and the cast about their own journeys of domestic violence - one as fresh as "a week out" as she disclosed.
A male survivor disclosed to one of my cast members that the play was "too real" to him - he disclosed that had
been abused all of his life - and stated that he had to contain himself from running on the stage and beating the
(profanity) out of the Pastor (portrayed by Durand Bivens) during the domestic violent scene. This is
a testament to Durand to how great of an actor he really is - because he is the total opposite of the role he portrayed.
This is my 5th
running of "A Change Is Gonna Come" and I must admit, I encountered the most adversity ever - yet I felt the greatest
sense of accomplishment after this running mainly because I saw with my own eyes the IMPACT this ministerial performance
had of this particular audience - they were visibly touched. One lady sobbed throughout the ENTIRE performance.
God thank you so much for showing up in such a MIRACULOUS way. I believe "A Change really DID come!"
I feel so honored to be the vessel you chose to spearhead and steer the reigns of such a great message and visualization.
Many times throughout this journey, I wanted to "throw
in the towel" but now I know - the mission is too great to abort. I want to move to the next level - but I NEED
someone out THERE to CARE as much as I do and INVEST in this great WORK! I cannot do this alone! My shoulders
are getting heavy trying to keep this "dream" alive. However, if we come together and pool our resources,
we can make this work. If there is anyone interested in assisting us go to the next level - please contact me at mychangegonnacome@yahoo.com and in the Subject line, state: Campaign - Next Level. My hat goes off to this great cast and I pray
that I get the opportunity to work with you again!

Award-Winning Stage Play, A CHANGE IS
GONNA COME" dispels the notion that domestic violence only occurs to certain class of people; but that it could happen
to anyone, even religious couples!
